This work is my response to the incredible greenery of Singapore, the city where I currently live. Singapore is a garden city where nature doesn’t just exist — it rules, filling every corner from the streets to the rooftops. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this lushness — it’s overwhelming, endless, and comforting.
The painting is filled with dense layers of patterns and leaves, reflecting the rich yet carefully cultivated vegetation of the city. I was deeply moved by this love for greenery and tried to express my admiration through rhythm, form, and color.
This piece is about the love for all things living — how nature becomes part of daily life and a constant source of inspiration. /2024
